Florals by the Pier

Hello and Happy Friday! Today I wanted to share one of my favorite spots to kick back, grab some drinks and bask in the sunshine. I've been loving the warm weather and Morgan's Pier is one of my favorite spots to go when I want to relax and be near the water.

Where I Went

Morgan's Pier is located on S. Columbus Boulevard. It's for 21+ so be sure you're of age before coming. Their cocktails and beer are nice and typical of many of the beer gardens found in Philly. I love the ample space to sit and unwind with friends. My favorite spots are facing the water so that you can see all the private boats docked at the marina. Morgan's Pier also has some events on the weekends so be sure to look out for that.

Around the area, you can also walk to this park and enjoy some views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Take a stroll down to Elfreth's Alley and enjoy some cute historical homes. Me being a clueless local, didn't even realize what street this was until I saw hoards of people come and go to take photos. It is the oldest residential street dating back to 1702. When the sun is just right, you can get a great glimpse of the sun and enjoy the colonial architecture.

What I Wore

I decided to pair some florals with denim and pops of white to keep the outfit light and summery. I love that this crop top is the perfect length with my high waisted denim. Typically, I don't purchase floral patterns because they can get a little to busy and overwhelming. Recently I have begun to notice simple florals that are more appealing to me like the one above. This top can be paired with a a creamy lace bralette or a strapless bra for different layering needs.

As for jeans, I have been loving Hollister after years of avoiding the store. The last time I stepped into one of their stores was in middle school. Lately, I have begun to notice that the styles they offer are actually really nice and their denim fits petite girls extremely well. Being 5 foot 1, the struggle to find denim at the correct length can be real. Hollister is probably one of the few brands aside from American Eagle that carry styles at a great price point with the high waisted styles I look for. I made sure to fold up the cuffs on my jeans so that my sandals could be seen.

You can shop the look below!

I hope you enjoyed this post and have some ideas of where to go now that the weather has been so nice! I'd love to hear your plans for this Friday! Let me know in the comments below!
